ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

The Fiery Foods Festival is an outdoor food & music festival featuring spicy-hot cuisine and ice cold drinks, admission is free on Friday & Sunday. Local Chefs will prepare spicy, fiery and blazing hot foods in sample-sized portions so you can try a large variety without breaking the bank. This event is open to all ages. If you can't take the heat, many of the food vendors will also serve non-spicy food items. Live music is included, feel free to pull up a lawn chair, spread out a blanket or sit at one of the many tables available and enjoy the free entertainment. Food and drinks are all reasonably priced.

HOW SPICY ARE THE FOODS?

Heat is measured using the Scoville Heat Scale. A Bell Pepper is 0 units of heat on this scale, a Jalapeno Pepper is 2500-8000 units, a Habanero Pepper is 100K-350K and Pure Capsaicin ("cap-SAY-a-sin") is 15-16 million units. All of the food will land somewhere between 2500-500,000 units. Most of the food will be on the lower end but there will be some near the top. Each booth will have a sign which indicates the heat level of the food.  None of the food will be prepared simply for heat without any flavor, we want you to enjoy the taste of everything you eat.

INTERNATIONAL FLAVOR AWARDS

The International Flavor Awards, LLC (IFA’s) in conjunction with the Summer Feast Food & Music Festival™  are excited to invite you to compete in the “2017 Flave Awards”. The Summer Feast is a 3-day event held in Sun Prairie, WI June 23rd-June 25th,  2017. The weekend includes The Fiery Foods Festival on Friday, The Sunday Funday Fest on Sunday and the highlight of the weekend, The all-inclusive Bacon, Brew & BBQ Fest, featuring numerous “Bacon-themed” foods, hundreds of craft beers and plenty of smoky BBQ. Held on an 8 acre event area and featuring bands on 3 stages throughout the weekend, attendance is expected to top 10,000 people with Saturday’s event to exceed 4,000.

About the Flave Awards: We’re looking for the top professional sauce makers and international spicy foods producers to vie for 1st, 2nd or 3rd place in one of over 50 categories. Each winner will be provided with either a glass trophy or a stylish and impressive ribbon (no printed winner’s certificates!) All products entered into the “Flave Awards” will also be featured in a special IFA sponsored sampling tent throughout the 3 days of the “Summer Feast.” This allows attendees to be introduced to your products in an environment where they can truly be appreciated (any marketing materials you provide will be displayed with your product). As an additional special bonus, the organizers of the “Summer Feast” have agreed to offer all registered participants of the “Flave Awards” the opportunity to vend for FREE  for the entire 3 days of the event!
